Q: I am not able to travel at this time, but I need legal advice, what I can do?
A: Whitaker & Shade attorneys will come to you if you are unable to travel.
Q: Does Whitaker & Shade give free consultations?
A: Yes and No. We offer free consultations on all personal injury claims, employment claims, Constitutional rights cases, and other cases that we are considering for contingent representation. All other cases are billed at the hourly rate, even for the initial consultation.
Q: What is a contingency case?
A: A contingency case is one in which Whitaker & Shade believes the chances of recovering our fees from another party are great enough to ONLY charge you a percentage of what we recover from that party or insurance company for our time. In other words, you don't pay for our time AT ALL unless we recover from the other party. If you are unsure if your case falls into this category, just ask us when making your appointment.
Q: Does Whitaker & Shade accept phone consults?
A: Yes, we will schedule initial consultations by phone. A client may be out of town and need a consult. A client may be unsure if they have a case and just want to quickly find out before coming in to our offices. For these and other reasons, we are happy to set phone appointments, but some phone consults may require pre-payment for the attorneys time.
Q: Does Whitaker & Shade Accept Credit Cards?
A: Yes, we accept all major credit cards.
Q: I work 9-5 and can't afford time off, does Whitaker & Shade make evening or early morning appointments?
A: Yes, if our regular business hours do not accommodate your schedule, we are always willing to set special appointment times to meet your needs.
